Respect & Civility

All You Need To Know About Reinforcing Civility In The Workplace

Instructor-Led Training:
Respect & Civility for Employees and Managers

Overview

In today’s increasingly diverse workplace, it is important for employers to create and maintain a climate of respect and trust among employees. They are foundational values that apply equally to everyone.

Employees need to consider the impact their words and actions can have on others. Successful collaboration depends on respect for our fellow co-workers.

Our ‘Respect & Civility Training’ is not about the law but rather focuses on why a respectful workplace is important. Training compliments Code of Conduct, Harassment and other related Policies. The Agenda can be customized to meet your requirements whether it is specific to employee or manager training, groups or one-on-one. This 2.5 hour virtual, instructor-led session is presented using an online platform such as Zoom, Teams, or WebEx.

While employers have a legal obligation to ensure that the workplace is free of harassment, discrimination, and bullying, each employee has a similar obligation to contribute to a workplace characterized by respect for everyone.

As important as it is for us to demonstrate the behaviour we expect from others, it is equally important for us to address situations that work against respect in the workplace.
